Acclaimed Iranian santour player Behnam Pour will bring the delights of Persia to Belfast later this month with his intricate music, alongside poet Majid Forghani - and some surprises!
Behnam performed at a recent book launch in Accidental theatre, and awed the crowd with his incredible playing of the santour, a 72-string instrument from the Middle East.
He's now been snapped up for a show of his own and he's bringing along not only his amazing music, but local Iranian poet Majid Forghani to read his poetry.

Iranian Night will showcase Behnam's beautiful playing along with the words of Majid Forghani, and a few other surprises, bringing the delights of Persia to Belfast for one night only!
Behnam has performed the santoor solo around the world to great acclaim, and this event will be a true celebration of all things Iranian.
His beloved instrument once got lost in transit between Iran and Belfast, and he was finally reunited with it after the intervention of some friends here in Belfast, who are all looking forward to hearing him play again.
Behnam has played extensively in film music, as well as performing in numerous concerts in Asia, Europe and Africa.
He teaches music at the music conservatory and composes in folkloric and traditional Iranian music genres, collaborating with European musicians on several music projects and workshops.
Accidental is proud to be hosting this wonderful musician, and can't wait to share this event with everyone. With surprise guests, on stage and off, this family-friendly show is one for everyone to enjoy, soaking up the culture of Iran and beyond.
Tickets are available worldwide, as the show will be live streamed so everyone can watch it anywhere, anytime.
The show takes place on Saturday 23 July at 8pm at Accidental Theatre, 12-13 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast.
Booking is available here.
