Italian side Inter Milan are eyeing a potential move for Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal in the January transfer window, according to reports. It comes ahead of a potentially huge winter market for Spurs as they continue to back Antonio Conte's project at the club.
The 53-year-old was backed with seven signings in the summer after the manager guided his side to an unlikely Champions League finish after a difficult season. There was an emphasis on quantity though, as they required far more squad depth for the competitions ahead.
That could switch to a move for quality, as Conte asked for further backing: "The important teams, the title contenders… when you play every three days, you need to have a deep, a strong squad with great quality. We have only just started our process. We are trying to improve our situation step by step, but you need time and patience."
