Instagram has confirmed it has resolved a technical issue after thousands of users had their accounts suddenly suspended with no explanation.
Problems began at 12:45pm on Monday and since then, more than 3,000 complaints have been made to global outage site Down Detector. Of those, 58 per cent were having problems with the app, 38 per cent were facing login issues and 4 per cent ran into problems with the website.
Users have reported being issued with a warning message that their accounts have been suspended - with just 30 days to dispute or risk it being 'permanently disabled'.
