Insider Claims Forza Horizon 6 Is Releasing Sooner Than Announced

Forza Horizon 6 is probably going to be one of the biggest racing games to be released next year. Xbox and Playground Games announced that Forza Horizon 6 is in the works and will be released sometime in 2026, and looking at the release dates of previous games, the release window should be between September and November 2026. While there is no confirmed gameplay trailer, we do know that the game is taking place in Japan, which is known for its rich car culture and racing history.

But the biggest news is that the release date for Forza Horizon 6 could be much sooner than you think. Instead of releasing in the second half of 2026, Forza Horizon 6 might hit the stores in the first half of 2026, according to insider Nate The Hate. This means that we are closer to racing in Japan than we previously thought.

And, if the game is going to be released in the first half of 2026, which should be nearing a gameplay trailer release. The Game Awards is getting closer, and there could be a trailer during the event. It is the perfect opportunity to release the trailer, but we currently don’t know that for sure.

Why The Early Release?

For many, this is great news; a long-awaited sequel to Forza Horizon 5 is releasing sooner than we think. But some worry the developers might rush the development, which might end up with an undercooked game. Especially considering the current state of AAA games.

A good reason for the early release might be to not share the same release window as Grand Theft Auto VI, which is confirmed for November 2026. To be honest, no game wants to compete with GTA VI, which is why Xbox and Playground Games are planning an early release.

Well, whatever the reason may be, Forza Horizon 6 releasing early is good news. Fans have been waiting for a new Forza Horizon game for a long time, and with how promising the trailer looked, everyone is excited to cruise and race around iconic locations in Japan.
