While the Love Island villa is impressive, it's a far cry from the £4m Grade II listed home contestant Gemma Owen shares with her dad Michael in north Wales. While introducing herself as from Chester as she entered the villa, the family home 'Lower Soughton Hall' is actually located in Wales, near Mold, in Flintshire.
The 42-acre property has been the Owen's family home since 2001, and previously appeared in ITV's Through the Keyhole. Gemma lives at the property with her father, ex-footballer Michael, mum Louise, and her three younger siblings. You can read more about Gemma here.
Reportedly worth £4m, it has its own private gym, a heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub, as well as a games room and bar area. The house is also packed with memorabilia from Michael's footballing days, including signed footballs, trophies, original football shirts and the treasured Ballon d'Or. The house appeared in ITV's Through the Keyhole in 2019.

The 42 acres around the property also include stables for the 19-year-old dressage rider's 12 horses, plus an additional two cottages, two flats, and three greenhouses, NorthWalesLive reports. Gemma has shared with the group that her horses live at home with her, however she is yet to reveal her connection to her famous father to her new housemates.
Gemma isn't the only Welsh contestant in the Love Island villa this year, with three of the original 10 cast coming from Wales. Gemma is joined by Paige Thorne, a paramedic from Swansea, and strength and conditioning student Liam Llewellyn from Newport, who also has a famous father.
Michael was asked about Gemma's new fame during coverage of the Nations League game on Tuesday, June 7. Presenter Jules Breach said: "Joining me hoping to see another famous win for England tonight in Munich, England and Arsenal midfield Jordan Nobbs, former England, West Ham and Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole and the father of Love Island’s Gemma Owen.
Jules continued: "A big night for the Owen's last night Michael, how are you feeling?" Clearly keen to move on, Michael replied: "I came all the way to Germany to try and avoid all that back home, but it has been brought up straight away! But I am feeling alright. This is taking my mind off it so don't bring it back up." However he did confirm in an earlier interview with ITV that she has his full support.
