It’s not really summer until the black bikinis come out to play, and while Gal Gadot has been representing the swimwear trend well this season, nobody does it quite like Kim Kardashian. The SKIMS boss has been spending quite a bit of time at the lake this summer with other members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, and I am happy to report the black bikini has officially made an appearance.
Kim Kardashian was all about the white bikini, white tank, white everything when she hard-launched her relationship with Lewis Hamilton earlier this summer. However she’s gone back to the basics with her latest Instagram photo dump to give us an update on lake life:

All is right with the world when Kim Kardashian sports her skimpy black swimwear, and I simply adore the first pic in her post, with Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope Disick posing alongside her aunt in a complementary white bikini. Kim appears to have deactivated “Marilyn Mode,” as she’s gone back to her long, brown hair, which is held back by a bandana.
The long hair is also a departure from last summer, when fans couldn’t stop commenting on the short hair in her black bikini pics. Most of the rest of the photos in the most recent drop feature Kim Kardashian paddleboarding, except for one where she holds Lewis Hamilton’s new golden retriever puppy Halo. That dog is so fluffy and cute that I bet Kim doesn’t even mind when Halo sheds on her black swimsuits!
It’s been a busy summer for Kim Kardashian, as she launched a new line of SKIMS micro (i.e. barely there) bikinis. There have also been some hard times recently for the family, as Kris Jenner’s mother MJ passed away. However, the All’s Fair star was able to get away with sister Khloé Kardashian and other friends and family before that happened, with more bikini photos from the lake:

Kim Kardashian has been known to keep black bikini summer going into September, so hopefully these aren’t the last looks we get. She and Khloé showed off their immaculate vacation vibes two summers ago as well, and the FOMO is real.
Don’t count Kylie Jenner out, either! She may not have tagged along for her older sister’s lake adventures, but she did take a page out of Kim Kardashian’s book by modeling her own Khy swimwear — complete with a black bikini, of course. In addition to the swimsuits, however, Jenner’s focus has also been on what’s underneath, as she and other celebs like Ana De Armas are in the middle of abs season.
I’d imagine Kim Kardashian’s abs are in pretty good shape, too, given all the water sports she seems to have gotten into during her lake getaways. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes out for her and other celebs like Sydney Sweeney to flaunt their black swimwear while the temperatures are still high.
