Dua Lipa and Callum Turner to host Italian wedding at 'mafia hotspot' as famous guests revealed

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are reportedly planning to host their second wedding at a former “mafia hotspot” in Italy.

The singer, 30, and actor, 36, tied the knot with a low-key legal ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, London, on Sunday.

However, they are said to be lining up an opulent three-day celebration in Palermo, Sicily, with all their friends and loved ones this weekend.

The couple - who got engaged last year - are reportedly going to host the main ceremony at Villa Valguarnera, a breathtaking 18th-century palace in Bagheria.

The estate attracted the Sicilian mafia in the 1980s, with Cosa Nostra bosses moving in and letting wild animals trash the ballroom, The Times reported.

The mob was eventually ousted from by its owner, the Italian princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca, who, at 76, still rents out the villa.

Palermo mayor Roberto Lagalla is going to officiate the ceremony, the Mail reported.

"Bagheria is bouncing back after years in which it was known for mafia and violence, and Dua Lipa helps that process by putting it on the map for a different reason," Bagheria’s mayor Filippo Tripoli told The Times.

The celebrations will then be hosted at the luxurious Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte Hotel overlooking the sea, according to reports.

Lipa and Turner reportedly booked an entire floor of suites for their guests and the hotel is thought to be closed to the public.

As for the date, they were tipped to be having a three-day celebration from September 5-7, according to Italian outlet Giornale di Sicilia.

However, fresh sources have since claimed they have pushed the festivities to this weekend.

Wedding planner Alessandra Grillo, known for organising high-profile Italian weddings, was spotted in Palermo overseeing final preparations ahead of the festivities.

The 300-strong guest list reportedly includes Sir Elton John, Charli XCX, Olivia Dean and producer Mark Ronson, alongside family members, close friends and industry insiders.

But they “want to keep it to their nearest and dearest so it’s not going to be a huge, showy occasion”.

“All of their favourite people will be there but there might be some surprising omissions,” a source told The Sun.

“Some people who thought they’d get a plus one have been told they won’t be able to, so they’re keeping the numbers down.”

The couple - who began dating in January 2024 - married over the weekend, with sources claiming Turner was “in tears and shaky”.

They reportedly celebrated their wedding with an intimate dinner with their loved ones.

An insider told The Sun: “Dua and Callum said their vows in a ceremony with their closest family and friends. Last night they had a quiet celebration dinner. It was chic and simple - exactly as Dua and Callum wanted.”

In images from the nuptials, Lipa can be seen wearing a white hat, suit jacket, dress, and heels, while Turner donned a dark suit and a blue shirt and tie.

The Houdini singer announced her engagement to the Fantastic Beasts actor in an interview with British Vogue in June 2025.

“This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever — it’s a really special feeling,” she said.

She later said she feels “happier than ever” thanks to their romance.

“I’m happier than ever, so it feels like I’m doing a disservice by not talking about it,” she told Harpers Bazaar UK. “When you’re a public figure, anything that’s very personal is very vulnerable. It’s not like I don’t want to share it.”

“I love love,” Lipa continued. “It is a beautiful thing. It’s really inspiring. You find yourself intensely falling all the time, in the best way possible,” the Houdini hit-maker added.

Speaking earlier this summer, Lipa revealed that Turner had the ring specially made for her after consulting with her sister and best friends. “We’re just enjoying this period,” she said. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”

She added: “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
