A couple who died after a fire at the "forever home" they were renovating were due to be married in 2024. Rebecca Foster, 32, and her fiancé Kieran Naylor, 33, were pulled from the blaze in the early hours of Monday, December 12.
Police said they had suffered serious injuries. They were taken to hospital in a critical condition. Rebecca would lose her fight soon after the fire, while Kieran would pass away two weeks later, on Boxing Day.
On Monday an inquest into their death heard that they had been together for a decade and were looking forward to be married in Cyprus next year, reports the Liverpool ECHO. The inquest heard that it was the couple's fourth home together, but they planned it to be their last, living there with their dog Skye and cat Nyla who were "like their children".
