Injury Report: Warriors’ Steph Curry won’t return vs. Mavs after leaving with lower leg injury

As the Golden State Warriors looked like they were cruising to a win over the shorthanded Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night in San Francisco, concentration quickly pivoted from what was happening in the game to Steph Curry’s injury status.

With the third quarter winding down, the All-Star point guard collided with Mavericks’ ballhandler McKinley Wright IV. Curry appeared to bang knees with Wright IV while playing defense. The reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player came up hobbling. After leaving the game, Curry exited the bench and went back to the locker room.

Following his exit, the Warriors later ruled out Curry for the remainder of the game on Saturday night against the Mavericks due to a lower leg injury. The Warriors announced Curry’s X-Rays were negative and he will undergo an MRI.
