Injured Haas out for at least two weeks

Brisbane star Payne Haas is to rest his shoulder injuries, missing at least two NRL games. (AAP)

Payne Haas is expected to miss at least two NRL games recovering from shoulder problems that have also kept him out of the NSW team for the State of Origin decider.

Brisbane prop Haas has AC joint issues in both his shoulders and will finally take matches off to recover after pushing through the injuries in recent weeks.

He's also been battling an ankle complaint, but Broncos head of performance Dave Ballard said the ongoing shoulder issue was what required the rest.

"It is a testament to his toughness and dedication to his team that he's been able to continue playing on," Ballard said.

"It's a long season and Payne needs time off to recover, and as a result will miss at least the next couple of games."

The Broncos face St George Illawarra this weekend and Gold Coast in their following game, with Haas now not due back until at least July 21 when they tackle Parramatta in a Thursday night encounter with top-four ramifications.

Fullback Te Maire Martin won't play against the Dragons either after sustaining fractured rib cartilage in the Broncos' loss to North Queensland.

Prop Corey Jensen is also set to miss time with a grade two calf strain, while fringe second-rower TC Robati will miss up to six weeks after breaking his arm in Queensland Cup action on Sunday.
