NEW DELHI: India on Saturday reported 833 new Coronavirus cases and 8 deaths. This takes the total cases in the country so far to 4,46,65,643.
The death toll due to Covid in India stands at 5,30,528. The active Covid cases have declined to 12,553. This is 0.03 per cent of the total cases. The 8 deaths reported on Saturday, include 3 reconciled by Kerala.
The Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.78 per cent, says the health ministry. So far 4.41 crore people have recovered from the disease.
A total of 219.79 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far.
Of the five new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, two are from Maharashtra, one each from Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Karnataka.
