New Delhi: India must move beyond import substitution approach in the medical devices sector and build an export-oriented industry that serves global markets, a senior government official said on Friday.
For this, the country needs to strengthen its domestic component manufacturing and deepen value addition, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Manoj Joshi, said.
