An Illinois mother accused of killing her two-year-old son was experiencing a 'psychotic episode' at the time, her lawyer said, as prosecutors point to her reported interest in the Lindsay Clancy trial.

Corie Walsh faces three counts of first-degree murder in connection with the death of her son, Barrett, who was found unresponsive in the family home's basement and later pronounced dead at hospital.
