Ilkay Gundogan thinks Erling Haaland would have no problem fitting in at Manchester City.
The Blues are trying to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker as they look to belatedly replace Sergio Aguero in their team, having failed to land a marquee forward in the last summer transfer window. City are believed to be in an excellent position to sign Haaland, although Real Madrid have provided stiff competition and have not given up on tempting the player to the Bernabeu.
Gundogan was put up for media duties with Germany on Friday morning ahead of their match against Israel this weekend, and the City midfielder was quizzed by reporters on the feasibility of Haaland lining up at the Etihad. Asked if Haaland and Guardiola would work at City, Gundogan answered : "Yes, Haaland has the quality for every top team.

"It's a long time ago that we played with a classical striker. I think he is a player with big qualities who fits into every team."
City won two trophies without a recognised striker last season as well as reaching the Champions League final for the first time, and are in the running to win another three in this campaign as Guardiola's team have adapted to not having a No.9. However, the club have always been clear in their intentions.
Having already landed Julian Alvarez from River Plate - the Argentine striker is set to be assessed after spending pre-season with the Blues - the club also aim to sign Haaland as their principal target for the summer window.
