MUMBAI: India women's team head coach Ramesh Powar on Sunday defended the notable omission of Jemimah Rodrigues and Shikha Pandey from the ODI World Cup squad, saying "if you don't perform, you don't get you chances".
In a virtual media interaction ahead of their departure for the ODI series and subsequent World Cup in New Zealand, Powar and skipper Mithali Raj also spoke about the team's preparations over the last six months and how they will approach the five ODIs against the Kiwis, starting February 11 before the ICC event in March-April.
