Former Rangers captain James Tavernier is closing in on a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv after completing a medical with the Israeli club.
The 34-year-old is understood to be finalising paperwork on a one-year deal, with Maccabi holding an option to extend his contract by a further 12 months.

Sky Sports reports that Tavernier will reunite with former Rangers teammate Kenny Miller, who is now head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The right-back enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Ibrox, becoming one of the club’s most influential modern-era players through his leadership, goals and assists from defence.

Tavernier captained Rangers to the Premiership title in 2021 and was a key figure as the club reached the Europa League final in Seville a year later.
Before arriving in Glasgow, he had spells with Newcastle United, Rotherham United and Wigan Athletic.
