Roy Keane paid Jordan Pickford a rare compliment following England’s win over Switzerland - but still admitted he’s not the goalkeeper's 'biggest fan'.
The Everton star made a brilliant reaction save during the Three Lions’ 2-1 friendly victory over Switzerland at Wembley on Saturday. Goals from Luke Shaw and Harry Kane cancelled out Breel Embolo’s opener for the visitors.
Pickford has impressed for Everton this season despite his side fighting relegation and having conceded 44 goals in just 25 games. While for England, the former Sunderland star has been a standout performer.

Pickford has made 42 appearances for the national team, keeping 20 clean sheets, and has never made an error leading to a goal. He also starred in their route to the Euro 2020 final last summer.
And in the past, Keane has not held back from taking aim at Pickford. After an error against Manchester United in 2020, the Irishman branded Pickford 'not a good goalkeeper' in a stinging attack.
While the former Republic of Ireland international even called for the Everton No.1 to be dropped in favour of Nick Pope for Euro 2020. Keane claimed the goalkeeper always had a 'mistake in him'.
But speaking on ITV on Saturday night, Keane was full of praise for Pickford, saying: “Brilliant save, but there was a lack of concentration.
“At the set-piece they also hit the post. I wouldn’t say I’m his biggest fan, but it’s a brilliant save.
“Gareth [Southgate] has got great faith in him, that’s the most important person. He picks them and looks at them over the last few years. He's got a lot of credit in the bank and Gareth feels he’s never let him down.”
