As a kitchen editor, I spend a lot of time watching seasonal trends come and go, noting which ones have the longevity to last beyond the change in weather and which are a fleeting dalliance. So when I’ve been hunting the new collections for hints at spring kitchen trends, three key themes have caught my eye as timeless yet uplifting – perfect for right now and totally acceptable post-April.
From charming ruffle-edge ceramics to Delft-inspired wares, and even some woven pieces that add a touch of whimsy, these are the spring kitchen trends worth shopping for – and the best pieces I’ve found.
Ruffle Edge Ceramics

As I have mentioned, I like trends that don't feel overtly seasonal. A style that nods to spring but doesn't shout it. Spring usually invites lots of florals, maybe some polka dots, and plenty of pastel hues. But this year, spring kitchen trends are leaning more towards texture and playful forms, with ruffle-edge ceramics taking center stage.
We've seen and loved ruffles on kitchen textiles, from Wayfair's Retro Farmhouse Ruffle Tablecloth to Anthropologie's Brynn Gingham Napkins, and now it's a detail that is transcending into tableware and kitchen essentials, too.
Think pretty bowls, charming loaf pans, and even kitchenware essentials, all given a more interesting finish with a pretty ruffled edge. And while they look pretty as part of a tablescape, it's the style they add to my kitchen shelves and countertops when on display that appeals most.
From Magnolia's French Grey Ruffle Cake Stand to GreenRow's Celeste Recycled Dessert Plates, I've found the most charming pieces that will add a sense of charm and tactility to your kitchen, no matter its style or size.
The scalloped edges of these stoneware bowls showcase this spring trend perfectly. The set of three features a blue, green, and white bowl, perfect for seasonal dining and for stacking on kitchen shelves.
Featuring a more organic ruffled texture around the rim, this loaf pan is the prettiest design that will make bread-making all the more enjoyable. It's also the perfect size for loaf cakes, if you have a sweeter tooth.
For something more pared-back and classic, this mid-blue utensil crock is a chic addition to your cooking space. The ruffled rim here is more subtle, but has just enough movement to add texture to your space.
Ready to elevate your basic fruit bowl for something more decorative? This ruffled-edge bowl comes in a pretty terracotta colorway, plus it's also available in white. It looks so charming perched atop an island.
A spoon rest is an essential in any kitchen if you want to keep cooking mess to a minimum, and I've just found the sweetest design yet. The ruffled edge creates an almost shell-like silhouette, and slightly raised, they keep drips contained.
Butter dishes are back in a big way, and this green design is a timeless choice. It's the perfect vintage-inspired shade of green, and the slightly aged finishes on the edge of the ruffles gives in a more characterful, lived-in look.
Hand-Painted and Delft-Inspired Kitchenware

Kitchenware is getting more playful this spring, with hand-painted kitchenware featuring front and center of almost every seasonal collection. Anthropologie is leading the trend, with a range of collections with pretty hand-painted designs.
The Millie Dinnerware Collection features a charming farmhouse-inspired theme, while the Molly Hatch Mugs Collection is filled with blue and white hand-painted pet illustrations.
Elsewhere, GreenRow's Shauna Hand-Painted Dinnerware offers a more colorful take on the trend, while the brand's Hand-Painted Spoon Rests are a chic way to add a vintage-inspired feature to your countertops.
Whether you're enamoured by beautifully decorated plates to adorn your kitchen walls or feel it's time to reinvigorate your mug collection for spring morning coffee rituals, these are the best designs the trend has to offer.
You can see every brush stroke in this illustrated mug, and the green botanical theme is perfect for spring. I love the irregularities in the dots – it makes the design feel a little bit more unique and personalized.
Berry bowls are one of my favorite kitchen items, not just for storing my favorite fruits, but because they look so pretty on display. The hand-painted blueberries on this one are so sweet – it's the sort of thing you hand down through generations.
This hand-painted bunny and flora are subtle enough to feel more spring adjacent than an Easter trope. It's a pitcher for beverages, but I love the idea of displaying tulips in it.
This plate looks like it belongs in the kitchen of a countryside abode, featuring the perfect spring shade of green and a beautiful botanical subject. Choose between a set of four dinner plates or salad plates.
Matcha bowls always seem to come in more minimalist designs, usually white, sage, or a wood tone. This design takes it to the next level with shades of pink and a grid pattern, perfect for matcha-drinking maximalists.
Anthropologie's Damson Madder collaboration has plenty to offer, but this charming hand-painted plate is just asking to be displayed on your kitchen walls. It's just the right balance of playful and classic.
Woven Storage and Decor

There are some really lovely woven designs spanning kitchen decor to useful storage that elevate the everyday. It's always a joy to see woven finishes filling spring collections because it has a timeless appeal that works year-round. You know you are choosing something that will still be in style for years to come.
Woven bread baskets are particularly prominent this year, offering a charming way to store your bread on your kitchen surfaces and easily transport it to the center of your dining table.
Alongside McGee & Co.'s offering listed below, H&M's 2-Pack of Seagrass Break Baskets stand out, as do IKEA's Rattan SMÖRFISK Bread Basket and Target's Aoibox Round Woven Bread Basket, which comes with a removable liner and cover.
But there are plenty of kitchen decor and designs to shop for if woven pieces are more your style. Here's my curated edit of favorite finds for this more timeless take on a spring trend.
Glass bottles stored on the counters can look a bit cluttered. Cue this woven wine bottle holder – it's perfect for giving your stash a more considered place to live that doubles as decor.
As I mentioned, bread baskets are really having a moment, and this design feels like something you'd find on a traditional farmhouse kitchen table. It's the perfect shade of weave, and the white lining features a subtly scalloped edge.
Darker weaves seem to be cropping up in a lot of spring collections too. This pedestal fruit bowl captures two of this year's seasonal trends, perfect as a centerpiece in your kitchen.
All of the prettiest kitchens I've seen this year have one thing in common – hanging baskets. This duo is perfect for spring 2025, whether you use them to store extra produce or to display pretty blooms.
If you're going to add decor on top of your island, whether it's a vase of flowers or candles, placing them on a tray makes them look a bit more organized and curated. This straw tray is the perfect addition.
This plate basket may have been created to transport plates, but it's the prettiest storage solution if you lack cabinet space. Imagine your favorite plates stacked within here and left on your counters. So chic!
Some spring trends come and go, but I've edited the three that will last beyond this season. They aren't too obviously seasonal, but they do have hints of your favorite spring colors, just in a chicer way. If these spring kitchen decor trends tell us anything, it's that this year, the focus is all on texture.
