Matt Hancock was overheard asking Babtunde Aleshe to pass a message on to his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo as the comedian became the fifth star to leave the new series of I'm A Celebrity on Wednesday night.
After they raised concerns about his future in the show after he landed in the 'bottom two' alongside Scarlette Douglas when she was given the boot on Sunday night, fans were left gutted when the popular comic and Celebrity Gogglebox star was given the jungle axe at the end of the latest episode.
It was down to I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec to break the news of Babatunde's exit, as he was left waiting alongside Seann Walsh for the result. And, when it came, Twitter was quickly awash with complaints from ITV viewers, some who said they were 'done' with the new series, while others called for a 'voting inquiry' as disgraced former Health Secretary Hancock survived again.

While the likes of Jill Scott and Owen Warner looked absolutely gutted to be seeing Babatunde go, and Mike Tindall rushed to console him, as Hancock went to hug him, the MP was overheard saying: "Oh you are so wonderful," before adding: "Will you say that to Gina?"
His request, which definitely teeters on I'm A Celebrity 'rule break' territory was deemed insensitive by viewers, as Babatunde clearly looked upset to be going, just days before the final.
Gina Coladangelo is the woman Hancock was infamously captured cheating on his wife with in Downing Street chambers, while the country was subject to strict Covid restrictions on social contact with people outside of your own household.
Hancock said early into his stint on I'm A Celebrity that he made a mistake because he "fell in love," a statement that was not well received b many viewers at home, still reeling at his flouting of his own guidance and grieving for loved ones they lost during the pandemic.
