I'm A Celebrity aired a shocking double exit on Wednesday night, with one departure in particular leaving viewers stunned.
Both exits left many fans gutted just two days before the final, as Helen Flanagan and Dean Gaffney both lost their places on the ITV series.
The latest survival challenge, in the wake of Joe Swash's own shocking exit from the show, saw all of the remaining campmates forced to battle it out to stay on the ITV show.
On Tuesday night, fans got a glimpse of the task and saw three of the campmates survive another day, as five remained in battle.
Helen, Paul Burrell, Jordan Banjo, Dean and Phil Tufnell were all left in their crates, while Myleene Klass, Carol Vorderman and Fatima Whitbread were successful.
In the task, each celebrity was locked in a crate, with their heads poking out of them. They had to untangle a key from a series of cords, and unlock the padlock that was keeping them trapped inside of the crate before ringing a bell.
During the trial, critters were added to the crates as the battle went on. Campmates were told that the last two stars left in their crates would be leaving camp for good.
Hosts Ant and Dec also informed them that anyone who chose not to take part or anyone who shouted out ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ during the trial would be one of the two leaving then and there.
As time went on, more campmates made it through until it was just Helen and Dean left in their crates.
This automatically meant they had lost their places on the show, and would not be crowned the first ever I'm A Celebrity Legend this Friday.
It comes a day on from former winner Joe being sent home, with him breaking down in tears as he thanked the show and Ant and Dec for the life he has now.
Stacey Solomon's husband was chosen for a trial and had to compete against Phil, after they were not saved by fellow campmates.
Temple of Doom saw the stars forced to lie down inside two identical tombs with the lids closed as they battled to unlock a series of locks, using the codes around their tombs.
They were joined by a number of insects and snakes as the trial went on, as both campmates tried to finish first.
Ultimately, Joe lost out to Phil and was sent packing, while Phil got to stay for at least one more day.
I'm A Celebrity... South Africa continues all this week at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
