I've recently become obsessed with supermarket summer dresses because there are so many different bargains available.
Sainsbury's TU Clothing has always been a personal favourite of mine, and since working there many years ago, it's amazing to see how far the brand has developed. TU Clothing seem to always get the current trends spot on, with an array of stunning different pieces on offer for a very reasonable price range.
I've been on the hunt for some bold patterned dresses for quite some time, and was after a midi dress that I could wear for a number of different occasions. To me, there's nothing better than a midi dress and trainers for a casual yet put together look - especially during the summer.

Whilst visiting my local Sainsbury's, I was immediately drawn to the print of a 'Geo Print Midi Dress' priced at £25. It's bold colours to me, were the definition of a summer dress.
On the TU website, the full product description reads: "Make an entrance in this bright geo print linen look midi dress. There are so many things we love about it, the short puff sleeves, sweetheart neckline, gathered front and bust seam detailing, not to mention the shirred back. In an easy pull on style, just throw on and go." - Here's what I thought.
In terms of the print, the dress was just enough without being too garish or in your face. Granted, the design might not be for everyone, but I thought it was bold and beautiful. One of my favourite parts about this dress was the puff sleeves, which added a cute feminine vibe.
Puff sleeves can make a dress look that little bit formal, and are great if you don't want to burn your shoulders in the sunshine. Although the dress was quite long on my 5'3 frame, it still hung beautifully against my shape.
I'm always a little conscious of my shape in certain dresses, but this versatile dress gave me confidence because it was lovely and flowy. The sweetheart neckline is perfect for a warm summers day, and the shirred back makes it nice and breathable.
The bust seam detailing was a nice addition to the dress, and again, it just made it look that extra bit feminine and cute. I actually didn't end up wearing a bra with this dress because the support was pretty good.
I got a lot of compliments on my dress after posting a picture on Instagram, and am already planning to wear it again to work. The great thing about this dress is that you can wear it for numerous different occasions.
I originally wore it for my friends hen do, and now I'm going to wear it in the office. You could even dress it up with some strappy sandals if you were going out for some drinks, or trainers for a more chic and casual look.
The dress washed really well, and the pattern didn't fade which was a bonus. Perhaps my favourite thing about this dress, though, is the fact that you don't have to iron it much - hurrah!
I washed it and ran my steamer over it and it was good to go, which was a blessing for me because I can't stand ironing. For the price, this dress was a steal, and proved my point about TU Sainsbury's forever impressing me.
You can purchase the Geo Print Midi Dress here for £25. Currently, sizes 8, 12, 16, 18 and 24 are available at the time of writing this review.
