Almost instantly from the moment I got into the Chevrolet Equinox EV, I knew that I was going to love it. And why’s that you ask? Well, that’s because it’s based on GM’s BEV3 platform — the same exact one used by two of my favorite EVs I’ve tested this year; the Cadillac Lyriq and Honda Prologue.
What’s even better is that the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV 2LT FWD turns out to be one of more modestly priced all-electric SUVs on the market with a starting price of $43,295. In fact, the one I ended up driving for a week tacks on $2,700 to the price for the Active Safety Package 3 option — which gives it the same super cruise control functionality that I loved with the Cadillac Lyriq.
