NEW DELHI: Young spinner Ravi Bishnoi showcased his prowess once again, playing a pivotal role in India's victory in the fourth T20I against Australia, securing the series in Raipur. Bishnoi's early breakthrough by dismissing Josh Philippe in the powerplay set the tone for India's dominance after Australia's aggressive start.
Reflecting on his individual performance after the match, Bishnoi expressed his satisfaction, stating, "I have been getting opportunities to bowl well for the team. It was another chance today to bowl well and win the game for India. I am very happy with my bowling, touchwood. I'll keep performing this way in the future."
Acknowledging the camaraderie among the team's youngsters, Bishnoi highlighted the positive atmosphere, saying, "We have a lot of youngsters in the team, everyone is performing well and enjoying each other's company."
He also credited Sairaj Bahutule, India's bowling coach, for his encouragement and guidance, stating, "I've worked with him; he keeps encouraging me and asks me to keep bowling consistently irrespective of the match situation."
In the match, explosive cameos from Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma propelled India to a total of 174/9. In response, Australia's openers Travis Head and Josh Philippe provided a solid start, but Bishnoi's breakthrough in the powerplay and Axar Patel's crucial wicket of Head tilted the momentum in India's favour.
