The family of a missing man whose remains were found on a riverbank are appealing for help to solve the mystery of his disappearance and tragic death. Huw Williams, 25, went missing from his home in Sherwood exactly a year ago today on May 6, 2021, sparking a huge national police search.
Nottinghamshire Police cordoned off a house in Danethorpe Vale, Sherwood, for days in July 2021 with a heavy police presence - this was Huw's last known address before he vanished. Since then, Mr Williams' disappearance had been the subject of a large police investigation.
As reported by Gloucestershire Live, he went missing without his mobile phone or any belongings. His remains were eventually discovered on the banks of the River Severn, near Tidenham, on January 2, 2022.
