Hurricane Milton Strengthens To Category 4, Storm Surge Warnings Issued

As of the 11am EDT update from the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Milton has strengthened slightly to a Category 4 hurricane with sustained winds of 150 mph. While the storm is not expected to reach Category 5 status again, it is forecasted to remain a powerful Category 4 hurricane throughout today and much of tomorrow.

In addition to the wind threat, storm surge warnings have been extended southward along the east coast of Florida, now reaching down to Port Canaveral. Residents in these areas are urged to take necessary precautions and heed all official warnings and evacuation orders.
