Fortnite is no stranger to honoring exceptional sports people. Just recently you could grab yourself a John Cena skin in Fortnite and now NFL Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes is coming to the game with three different skins and a bunch of themed accessories fit for any football fan. The Fortnite icon series has provided skins for a bunch of people from streamers like Ninja to musicians like Travis Scott.
This new Patrick Mahomes Fortnite skin will be available very soon, so we’ll tell you how you can get your hands on it to complete your Fortnite challenges in style. Plus, how you can get it for free a little early by participating in the Patrick Mahomes Cup.
How to get the Patrick Mahomes skin - Fortnite
This skin comes in three variations. There is the standard skin, the Gladiator Mindset skin which sees Mahomes sport some shades and a mechanically enhanced arm, and finally, the Gameday Gladiator skin that gives him a futuristic knight helmet and more combat-ready gear. You can also pick up the Snap Axes Pickaxe, Endzone Elite Wrap, and Showtime Emote to fully kit yourself out like the Superbowl MVP.
All of these items will release on the Fortnite item shop on Wednesday, August 24 but there is a way to earn them slightly sooner.
The Patrick Mahomes Cup - Fortnite
Taking place on Tuesday, August 23, this is a squad-based Zero Build tournament that’ll see you earn the base Patrick Mahomes outfit and Secret Sauce Emote if you earn enough points. During the three-hour window for each time zone (viewable in-game), your squad can play ten games, during which you’ll earn points for each elimination. You must be at least Level 50 to participate, earning eight points will get you the emote, and 30 points are needed to get the skin.
