Laidback Lion Logan Morris won't be rushed into a decision on his AFL future as the in-demand Brisbane forward digests his status as a man in demand.
The 19-year-old has kicked 124 goals in 63 games since his whirlwind 2024 debut.
Selected with pick No.31 in the draft, Morris is contracted until next season and eyeing off a third premiership in as many campaigns, now as the spearhead of the Lions' multi-pronged attack.
Cheekily referred to as a "better version" of Jack Riewoldt by coach Chris Fagan, the teenager has emerged as an obvious target for the incoming Tasmania Devils as well as a host of rivals in his home state of Victoria.
But Morris isn't getting caught up in the attention.
"There's always noise, but I'm loving my time in Brissy, living in Brissy is good fun," he said, while revealing he's recently started dating a local girl.
Morris was speaking at a Sapporo promotion in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
"You'd rather have clubs talking about you than not; it's a compliment in a way, but I just want to enjoy playing footy at the moment," he said of the attention.
"But I've still got a year-and-a-half (remaining on his contract).
"That's a lot of time in footy. I've been there for three years, that time has flown, and the next year-and-a-half will fly and I can make a decision then."
Morris burst onto the scene in a memorable debut, kicking a goal while wearing a teammate's boots after being elevated off the emergency list, having already played VFL and eaten at McDonalds earlier in the day.
He's handled the extra attention since, on track for his most prolific season and destined to be a true leader of the club, according to his coach.
"He's under more attention and he's been able to stand up," Fagan said, pointing to his ability to nullify elite Port Adelaide defender Aliir Aliir in Sunday's win, the Lions' seventh straight.
"I hope Logan Morris plays his whole career at the Lions.
"Not only is he a great footballer, but in time he'll become a really strong leader ... able to influence others in a more direct kind of way."
Brisbane, sitting fourth, travel to Marvel Stadium to face the in-form Carlton on Saturday.
The Blues are 11th, but have won eight of 10 games under interim coach Josh Fraser.
"I've done plenty of homework on them and if you do the ladder for the last 10 weeks they're second ... and that's how we're treating them," Fagan said.
They will be without defender Ty Gallop, who copped a three-game suspension for his rough conduct on Mitch Georgiades.
A remorseful Gallop claimed his reaction was due to Georgiades grabbing his already broken right thumb.
"That act is not a true reflection of Ty as a person," Fagan said.
"Some people that comment on the game made him sound like some heinous criminal that did the worst thing possible.
"That's a bit hard for a young man like him to take ... reassured him we have a great amount of respect for him."
