When Princess Eugenie announced she was pregnant with her second child, it was no surprise that she revealed the happy news in very modern way.
As well as a traditional announcement from Buckingham Palace, she took to her personal Instagram account to also share the happy news with a cute snap of her with her young son August.
And it seems in keeping with how Eugenie is very much a unique princess, balancing having a royal title with a more conventional life, holding down a job - and even having a secret tattoo.
Here we take a look at exactly how she is a princess in the modern age...
Art gallery job
Like her older sister Princess Beatrice, Eugenie holds down a full-time job - despite her royal title.
After school, she went on to higher education and gained a degree in English literature and history of art at the University of Newcastle.
In 2013, she moved to New York to work for online auction firm Paddle8.
After a two-year stint in the Big Apple, she came back to London and is now an associate director at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery.
However, she is patron of several charities, including the Elephant Family, the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Coronet Theatre and the European School of Osteopathy, and also founded the Anti-Slavery Collective charity.
Instagram account
Although several other royals, such as William and Kate, have an Instagram account, it solely focuses on their official work.
However, Eugenie is one of the few members of the Firm, who has her own Insta account, where she shares small snippets of her life.
Her grid is filled with snaps of her with her sister Princess Beatrice, mum Sarah Ferguson as well as her husband Jack Brooksbank and young son August.
There's also photos that highlight her charity work and her royal memories from throughout the years.
Meanwhile, Eugenie has also used the account to make some huge announcements about her life.
When it came to the birth of their son August back in February 2021, in a break from tradition they shared the first photo of him on Instagram.
Along with the official statement via Buckingham Palace, they announced the arrival of their baby boy with a beautiful black and white photo.
And when announcing her second pregnancy yesterday, she also posted an adorable photo of August kissing her baby bump.
Two countries
Last year it was revealed that Eugenie along with husband Jack was splitting her time between Portugal and the UK.
The couple spend time at the exclusive CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, south of Lisbon, as well as London.
Jack reportedly has a job with Mike Meldman, a businessman who is friends with George Clooney, in sales, marketing and promotion for the private resort, which is currently being developed with 300 houses.
He had previously worked for the tequila brand Casamigos, which was joint owned by Mr Meldman, George Clooney and Randy Gerber, the husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford. It is now owned by drinks giant Diageo.
Celebrity pals
Eugenie and Jack tied the knot back in 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor, just months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
And the guestlist for their wedding was filled with Eugenie's celebrity pals from Robbie Williams, whose daugter was a bridesmaid, to Demi Moore.
Others there included Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne, Ricky Martin, James Blunt, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
Secret tattoo
Not many royals have showed off inkings on their body - but Eugenie has.
She surprised royal fans by showing off a small tattoo as she joined her family for the second day of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year.
It's believed to be the first time she had her inking, which appears to be a small circle or heart behind her ear, on display in public.
The Queen's granddaughter normally wears her hair down at official engagements, but half up, half down do for the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral meant it was on display.
Harry and Meghan
Harry and Meghan are known to be extremely close to Eugenie - and it appears she is the only royal to have visited them in California since they quit the UK.
She was also the only royal to make a cameo appearance in their controversial docuseries, which dropped on Netflix last month.
And according to royal expert and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward, Harry and Meghan would have been very much across Eugenie's pregnancy news.
She told the Mirror: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been amongst the first to hear the news of Eugenie’s pregnancy.
"Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage.
"If the Sussexes come to the coronation in May, there will be an added incentive to see Eugenie as by then it is doubtful if she will want to travel herself."
