Celtic imploded to drop out of the Champions League at the play-off stage yet again, despite going into their second leg with LASK with a 3-0 lead.
They even led 4-0 for a spell after captain Callum McGregor's strike put them ahead on the night, but they conceded an equaliser before half-time.
Celtic looked more and more leggy and leathargic as the game went on and shipped another three goals in the second half to see it go to extra-time. Samuel Adeniran struck in that period to win it for the hosts.

Viljami Sinisalo - 5
The goalkeeper could maybe be questioned for some of the goals and looked a bit nervy in a couple of other moments - including dropping a simple-looking catch to concede a cheap corner kick. Did make a big save just before his side were able to take a crucial lead and go 4-0 up on aggregate, and a couple of others throughout, especially as LASK turned the screw.
Colby Donovan - 5
The young right-back was not quite as heavily involved as in the first leg but was quietly effective in the first half. Like the rest of his defensive colleagues, found it tough against the Austrians’ onslaught after the break. Not long after Tierney went off, Donovan was forced to limp off too, with Dane Murray taking over at right-back.
Cameron Carter-Vickers - 6
Made a couple of vital blocks as LASK stepped things up about a quarter of the way through the first half. Looked slightly heavy-legged in the second half as LASK bombarded Celtic and the duo of Usor and Adeniran caused no end of problems - but that is perhaps to be expected after the amount of time he was out injured last season. Suffered from cramp late on but had to battle on as all substitutions had been made, before finally being able to bow out for extra-time.

Auston Trusty - 5
Did really well early on to match Samuel Adeniran’s jump and block his attempted header. Not as involved as Carter-Vickers in repelling the home side early on, but certainly played his part. But things got trickier as the night went on. Got dragged out to a wide area and then done for pace and power before the ball was played in to Robert Ljubicic to give LASK a 2-1 lead.
Kieran Tierney - 6
A big part of Celtic’s performance as ever - always looking to get forward while sticking to his defensive responsibilities. A good pass down the left to Yang in the build-up to Callum McGregor’s goal. Liam Scales was possibly coming on for him anyway to offer some defensive solidity before Tierney seemed to begin to struggle and was subbed.
Callum McGregor - 7
Set the tone early on for Celtic by snapping into tackles, making interceptions and snuffing out danger. Then set the team further on their way with the all-important first goal of the night, with the aid of a deflection. The team’s best player on the night as chaos ensued around him.
Mika Baur - 6
The little midfielder made a positive early impression in his appearances to date, but not as much here. He was tidy in some moments, but loose in possession in others - even nervously slicing the ball out of play at one point. Looked frustrated not to have made the most of a delicious ball in by Yang. Replaced by Luke McCowan on 71 minutes.
Benjamin Nygren - 4
Has started the season on fire but a rare slack moment allowed LASK to equalise on the night, when his pass, played blindly, went straight to Moses Usor and the striker finished his one-on-one with Sinisalo. The Sweden international was pretty quiet after that in what will not go down as one of his better displays. Lasted just over an hour before being subbed off for Reo Hatate.
Camilo Duran - 5
A far quieter night than we have been used to from the Colombian. Was left on for the entire 120 minutes despite not having much of an impact, likely because he has shown he can pop up with something special at any moment. Did look more of a threat in the added 30 minutes.
Yang - 7
Set up an early chance for Kasper Hogh by flashing a dangerous ball across the goalmouth. The South Korea winger was then heavily involved for the opening goal, making inroads down the left before feeding his captain. Continued to be involved in a lot of Celtic’s good play after that, regularly linking with teammates. Perhaps a surprise to see Yang taken off for Sebastian Tounekti - possibly purely because Duran carries more of a goal threat.
Kasper Hogh - 4
Had an early sniff but couldn’t quite stretch his leg far enough to make contact. However, he probably should have done better when played in after around 13 minutes. With Duran available to his right, the Dane’s effort lacked conviction. Had another opportunity to go one-on-one, but was thwarted by the goalkeeper as he tried to lift it over.
Substitutes
Reo Hatate - 4
One of the first subs used in place of Nygre,n but it was a game in which it was hard for the subs to get up to the pace.
Sebastian Tounekti - 4
Couldn’t get into the game as his side were on the back foot constantly, but did grow slightly in extra-time.
Luke McCowan - 3
On for Baur to offer work rate in the middle of the pitch, but toiled. Robbed of possession at the edge of his own box for Adeniran to put the hosts ahead during extra-time.
Liam Scales - 4
Played left-back for the final 19 minutes after coming on for Tierney.
Dane Murray - 4
Preferred to Anthony Ralston for the right-back role after Donovan went off. Like Scales on the other side, did help Celtic defend cross balls a bit better, but they were still up against it.
Anthony Ralston - 4
On for extra-time as Carter-Vickers’ race was run.
