Hour by hour weather forecast for Sunday and Monday with hot weather in prospect for the North East

Though the mercury is unlikely to pass the mid-20s, a warm and sunny Sunday will keep smiles on faces across the North East.

According to the Met Office's official forecast for Newcastle, the temperature will mostly range between 17 and 23°C and rain looks unlikely. However we could see highs of 31°C.

A high UV index means sun cream will be a must - while pollen and pollution will both be medium. Sunrise will be at 5.38am for any early-risers, while sunset is due to be around 8.43pm.
