Hotel hits back after guest slams view, bad food and beds like 'planks' for £370-a-night

A disgruntled guest left a scathing review of one of Edinburgh's most upmarket hotels - slamming the hard beds, poor view and fact complimentary whiskey wasn't provided.

The reviewer, Julia from Leicester, posted on TripAdvisor after she had an apparently unpleasant stay at the five star Scotsman Hotel to celebrate her birthday.

Julia said she paid just under £370 per night for a Delux room - but got "a shock" on arrival at the condition.
