A cat lady was banned from keeping animals after 11 flea-infested felines were found in her attic while two dogs starved. Patricia Steven, 53, had her home raided by cops and animal welfare chiefs in November 2020.
Steven, of Cardenden, Fife, was considered 'hostile' so police officers went to the raid. One of the dogs was so emaciated it was put to sleep. The cats and kittens were all rehomed.
She was banned from keeping animals for 10 years at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on October 18. She was sentenced to failing to provide adequate nutrition and the necessary veterinary treatment for a chronic skin condition and flea infestation for her two dogs, Shadow and Cordy.
