Witnesses say the mother and daughter inside were checked out at the scene and had no injuries. The road was also closed for a couple of hours to remove any debris.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Shay said: "I’m honestly raging as I’m due to be getting my new car hopefully next month and didn’t expect that to happen.
"I was just driving along the high street as I was on my way through to Edinburgh and the traffic was kinda busy on my side of the road so I stopped as I was waiting for it to move.
"It started to move slightly so I proceeded and then an oncoming Cupra has driven too close to the parked cars on the side of the road and it’s ended up clipping the blue Corsa."
She continued: "It then landed on its roof all while coming into my lane so I reacted as best as I could and managed to swerve out the way but my car still got hit at the back
"The drivers got checked in the ambulance that was on scene and then got taken into a taxi afterwards but don’t think they got taken to the hospital.
"I had to go up to be checked as I’m currently recovering from jaw surgery but just wanted to check everything was okay as I did get pains afterwards."
