Holly Willoughby shares Father's Day post as Phillip Schofield's daughters remain silent

Holly Willoughby, like many other people across the nation, paid tribute tribute in a rare snap of her dad on social media for Father's Day.

The This Morning presenter found herself at the centre of controversy recently when the news of her long-term friend and former colleague Phillip Schofield's affair with a younger male colleague came to light and he sensationally stepped down from hosting duties.

Holly, 42, gushed in a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to her 8.3 million followers, writing: “Dad… We all love you so much… so lucky to have you… Happy Father’s Day," as the snap showed Terry Willoughby beaming in her back garden, while affectionately petting her cat Bluebell and dog Bailey.

In stark contrast the daughters of her former ITV colleague Phil appear to have kept completely silent on paying any tributes following his controversial spotlight recently, reports the Mirror

Phillip shares daughters Molly May, 29, and Ruby, 27, with his wife of 30 years Stephanie Lowe.

Phil's eldest daughter Molly May is said to have found out about his affair just minutes before the news became public as she heard the news whilst she was at work.

She had been doing her shift as normal at YMU according to MailOnline, the talent agency that manages a wealth of ITV personalities and, up until recently, her dad.

Molly has worked there for the last eight years according to her LinkedIn page which states she started back in 2015 as a PA and Social Talent Assistant Manager before landing her current role which included working alongside celebs such as Stacey Solomon.

In a very emotional interview with the BBC following the scandal to which he admitted was "unwise but not illegal", Phil tragically compared his situation to that of Caroline Flack who sadly took her life in February 2020 at the age of 40 amid a hounding by tabloid media.

After stepping down from his ITV job and reportedly trying to make things right with his co-star Holly Willoughby, Phillip fled London where he was followed by his daughters, who won't let the star "out of their sight".
