Trees in Glasgow city centre have been cut down but will be replaced.
Glasgow City Council workers started to chop down the foliage on Sauchiehall Street earlier this week.
Today, the plants near the street's junction with Rose Street have completely disappeared.
The council said more and healthier vegetation will be planted on the site.
A council spokesperson added: "These trees are being replaced by more (and healthier) trees as part of the work on the Sauchiehall Precinct and Cambridge Street Avenue, the latest project in the Avenues programme in the city centre."
