Hull manufacturer Paragon ID has turned to city-based Coyle Health & Wellbeing for staff support.
The company has completed a 12-week trial with the boxer turned fitness guru’s brand, and is now looking to roll out similar initiatives across other UK subsidiaries.
Paragon ID, behind the greening up of train tickets with its innovative work with University of Hull on production processes, has now brought green into its factory too, with free fruit and smoothie mornings as part of the tie-up. An onsite health and wellbeing manager has also been introduced, as well as nutritional advice, free gym access and mental health support.

Ryan Mellors, general manager of the Paragon ID office in Hull, said: “Our people are at the core of our business and the wellbeing of our workforce is a high priority. We are committed to investing in a range of initiatives for our employees and we are thrilled to have partnered with Coyle Health & Wellbeing to offer a range of support. In addition, we have also recently made significant improvements to the Hull office including a refreshed office interior and a relaxing breakout area for staff.”
Paragon ID is now looking at options for RFiD Discovery, in Milton Keynes, as well as Thames Technology in Essex and UrbanThings in central London. A health cash plan has also been adopted to cover a range of health-related costs including dental, optical, prescription charges and flu vaccination costs. It also provides staff with 24/7 access to a qualified GP and telephone counselling.

The Coyle team hit the headlines with a national award win for work with Siemens Gamesa at the blade plant in the city. As part of the latest programme, staff at the Hull office have access to a six-week boot camp which includes daily workouts which can be done anywhere at any time. In addition, the boot camp offers a complete nutrition plan including shopping lists for daily meals to encourage a healthy lifestyle which is fulfilling and sustainable.
