Heads of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan cricket boards to attend IPL final

AHMEDABAD: The heads of Sri Lanka Cricket (Shammi Silva), Bangladesh Cricket Board (Nazmul Hasan) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (Mirwais Ashraf) will attend IPL-2023 final, which will be preceded by a closing ceremony, at the monumental Narendra Modi Stadium here on Sunday, informed BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

The development is significant in the light of the fact that the schedule and venue of the Asia Cup has still not been finalized due to a deadlock between India and Pakistan. The final schedule of the tournament is likely to be announced around Sunday.
