Harry Styles fan 'could have blinded' singer after hitting him in eye during Love on Tour

Harry Styles 'could have been blinded' after a fan launched something into his eye during his first week back on his Love on Tour.

The Watermelon Sugar chart-topper, 28, appeared in agony after one gig-goer threw a 'solid object' directly at his face mid-performance.

He had only just returned on his 167-date world tour after being forced to reschedule three November dates due to illness.

Harry was back on Wednesday (November 10), but not even a week back into his shows he appeared unwell again following the incident.

One fan said he "couldn't open his eye" throughout an entire song after he hit before singing Kiwi at the concert in Los Angeles.

Footage shows the moment he is hit by what is thought to be a handful of hard Skittles sweets, he then puts his hands straight to his eye – visibly in pain.

He bows his head and puts his hands in the air, trying to continue the show, but can clearly be seen in agony as he held his left eye shut.

Concertgoers have slammed the fan who launched the sweets into Harry's face and say that it "ruined" an otherwise perfect show.

One said: "Don’t they understand that this is dangerous and they could have blinded him?"

Another added: "Stop throwing things on stage full stop. It's just not safe for anyone involved, you could hit Harry like in this video.

"You could hit one of the band members, you could hit an audience member, Harry could trip over it, it's not safe. Do not throw things."

A third penned: "This could truly hurt him, damage his sight or anything else for that matter. Please don't." While another said: "He wouldn’t open his eye for the whole song."

Reiterating the others' comments, another said: "People don’t realize a flying object could literally blind him….I really hope he’s alright."

An alternative angle shows the point of impact as Harry's head is launched backwards when the object hit him directly in the eye.

"One day he’s gonna just walk off stage and not finish," said one fan.

Another complained: "His face literally looks in pain im so sad." While a third added: "Shouldn’t throw anything at him. Ever. Period."

This isn't the first time Harry has been hit on stage, only last month he had to stop the show after one fan threw a bottle at his groin.

"That was unfortunate," said Harry as he's seen 'shaking off' the pain before continuing his show at the United Centre in Chicago in October.

Also, it was only in August earlier this year that fans in New York thew chicken nuggets at the former One Direction band member during his Love on Tour show.
