Former 49ers linebacker Dave Wilcox has died at age 80, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.
Wilcox, a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, spent his entire 11-year career in San Francisco after being selected in the third round of the 1964 NFL draft.
He went on to play in 153 of a possible 154 games in his career. He notched 14 interceptions and 36.5 sacks in his career.
Wilcox was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000 alongside fellow 49ers greats Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott.
