Gyanvapi: Court rejects 6 pleas for becoming party in main Shringar Gauri case

VARANASI: VARANASI: District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishvesha on Monday rejected six applications filed by individuals and organisations to become a party in the main case (No. 18/2022 Rakhi Singh vs state of UP and others) in which five Hindu women plaintiffs have sought the right to worship Shringar Gauri and other deities inside Gyanvapi mosque compound.

The court has reserved its order on three more similar applications. The order is likely to be delivered on October 21, said district government counsel (civil) Mahendra Prasad Pandey.
