Growing concerns for missing Scots teenager with 'moon boot and crutches'

Concerns a growing for a missing Scots teenager, who disappeared wearing a moon boot and walking with crutches.

Samantha Coyle, known as Skylar, was last seen in the Millgate area of Arbroath at around 11am on Sunday, June 5.

Police are appealing for information in a bid to help trace the 18-year-old.

Skylar is described as 5 foot 3 inches tall with short dyed blue hair, shaven at the sides and back.

When last seen, she was wearing pink shorts, a dark blue T-shirt and a dark blue zip up jumper carrying a black rucksack and crutches.

Skylar has one moon boot on her ankle and one yellow trainer on. She was also wearing glasses.

Inspector Mahboob Ahmed of Tayside Division said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare and safety of Skylar and would ask anyone who has seen her to get in touch.

“Skylar is quite distinctive, wearing bright colours and walking with the aid of crutches.

“We are carrying out extensive enquiries and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace her.

“I would urge anyone who has any information on Skylar’s whereabouts or who has contact with them to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 3490 of Sunday, June 5.

“I would also encourage Skylar to contact police or approach any officer who will provide assistance."
