Greggs Primark £18 hoodies listed on Ebay for £140 after range sells out within hours in Newcastle

Hoodies from the Greggs and Primark clothing range that are priced at £18 are being listed on Ebay for around eight times the price at £140.

Ebay sellers are taking advantage of the highly-sought-after sell-out clothing range by listing items at massively inflated prices.

The collection proved to be so popular that it sold out at Newcastle's Primark on Northumberland Street within hours of it going on sale.

And it seems like some sellers are taking advantage of the fact that many people missed out on getting their hands on some of the range by selling them at an extortionate price.

One Ebay listing is advertising a Greggs and Primark black hoodie, which has a Greggs logo on the chest and is normally priced at £18, at £140.

A white hoodie and jumper were also listed at £140, while the black tracksuit bottoms were listed for £130.

Other listings were selling £8 bucket hats for around nine times the price at £70 while £7 socks were listed for £23.95.

A full 11-piece range launched on Saturday featuring T-shirts, hoodies, and trainers bearing the steak bake creator's iconic logo.

The limited-edition range attracted hundreds of shoppers who queued up outside of the Northumberland Street store before it opened at 8am on Saturday.

Primark staff said that the average customer was spending around £60 on the Greggs range with the novelty £8 bucket hats selling out within minutes.

Boxers, socks featuring the Greggs logo and sausage rolls were also amongst the most sought-after items on launch day.

More stock - including the highly-anticipated Greggs trainers - would be coming into the Newcastle store on Tuesday morning, with the shop set to open from 8am.
