Greggs and Primark launch clothing range with prices starting at £7 for sausage roll pants

Geordie favourite Greggs and fellow high street giant Primark have revealed first sight of their eagerly-anticipated fashion range which will be hitting the shops this weekend.

The big name collaboration - a first for the pair - has resulted in a full 11-piece range featuring a street and sporty look with T-shirts, hoodies and trainers bearing the steak bake creator's iconic logo.

The limited-edition range, which also includes bucket hats and sliders, is expected to "fly off shelves", says a spokesman.

It will launch nationwide in 60 Primark stores on Saturday and will be available while stocks last.

London shoppers will be among the lucky ones on the first day of sales as a new fashion boutique, set up in the capital to celebrate the launch, will be offering some free samples.

Others will have to be content with the fact that the in-demand items are unlikely to break the bank, with prices starting at £7 for Greggs -branded undies and going up to £16 for trainers.

Here's what is on offer.

Greggs T Shirt - £8

Fans of the Newcastle -born bakers can dress to impress, or at least be eye-catching enough to be first in the queue for the morning breakfast deal, with a T-shirt in a pick of two colours.

The black version of the 'premium' crewneck jersey T-shirt features what is described as "the nation’s most iconic pastry": the Greggs Vegan Sausage Roll.

Made from 100% cotton, it gives "maximum comfort without compromising on style".

The blue version is said to combine "one layer of cotton with 96 layers of tasty" and those with an appetite for it can showcase the small Greggs logo on the front and a stretched vertical logo design on the back.

Hoodie - £16

At the priciest end of the range is a relaxed-fit hoodie in black which has a Greggs logo on the chest.

There's also a "snug as a sausage roll" warm ecru shade of it which invites Greggs trend-setters to display their commitment to baked goods with words "it’s a pastry thing" emblazoned on the sleeve.

Tracksuit Bottoms - £14

Completing the lounge look are these black tracksuit bottoms which can be paired with the matching hoodie for a full tracksuit "and maximum cosiness".

The logo is featured on the pocket and leg.

Sweatshirt - £14

A crewneck sweatshirt in grey is all business in front - that classic Greggs logo again - and pastry at the rear, featuring a trio of logos for others to admire once the back is turned.

Trainers - £16

Combining sport with style, says the spokesman, "these Greggs trainers will have you ‘running’ for your nearest Primark".

Sliders - £8

There's a choice of spring colours in this range of footwear and the sell invites buyers to "slide in to your local Greggs branch in style with the this hot take on the classic sandal design in a fresh white, yellow and blue."

Socks - £7

Sounding like a bargain buy for what is a five-piece range (which presumably means five pairs) the new sock collection could, perhaps, be teamed up with those sliders to create a unique look.

Two pastry-inspired pairs feature sausage rolls.

Bucket hat - £7

The Greggs headwear again comes in two colours - this time within one tidy look.

The bucket hat has a simple black outer design but is reversible so wearers can choose to show off its blue logo-filled lining.

It's described as "perfect for festival goers and superfans alike".

Underpants - £7

To complete the package there's a set of two Greggs underpants set so that works out as just £3.50 per brief.

One pair is in vibrant Greggs blue while the other is a repeat sausage roll design.
