Temperatures are set to plunge across the north west tonight, with heavy rain forecast for Sunday.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning for rain across the country until 21.00 on Friday (November 18). Every borough is set to experience heavy rain with temperatures set to stay below double figures.
The alert also covers parts of Yorkshire, Cumbria, Scotland and the south. There is a 'small chance' that the heavy rain could lead to flooding, with disruption on some roads and public transport expected.
