Former Liverpool midfielder Graeme Souness believes that Casemiro's ability to contribute in front of goal is one of the things that sets him apart from West Ham United's Declan Rice.
United are long-term admirers of Rice, with the midfielder having impressed for both club and country in the past few years. However, the 24-year-old - who is often regarded as one of the best in the Premier League in his position - has struggled for goals and assists in the top flight.
The Irons star has registered seven goals and 10 assists in 188 Premier League appearances, and Souness has suggested that he does not possess two of the three key qualities a complete, top-level central midfielder needs to have in their locker.
