Two sick puppies that were dumped by the roadside in Renfrew by callous sellers have made a full recovery and now have homes of their own and loving pet parents to care for them.
The Paisley Daily Express reported back in June how three dogs were abandoned near the junction of Tyree Avenue and Cockles Loan on Tuesday, June 14.
The male Labrador puppies were picked up by a member of the public who alerted Scotland’s animal welfare charity, the SSPCA.

Suspecting the pups were abandoned by "prolific low-welfare puppy dealers", they launched an investigation.
The SSPCA took the animals in but sadly one the pups died from parvovirus, a disease that can affect young dogs, particularly those raised in low-welfare conditions.
The other two, names Angus and Ted, also contracted the virus, but vets were able to keep them alive.
Anna O’Donnell, manager at the SSPCA rehoming and rescue centre in Cardonald, the closest one to Paisley, said: "Angus, Ted and their sibling came in to the care of our Glasgow centre after they were found abandoned at the side of a road in Renfrew.
“On arrival the pups were passing blood and one in particular looked more lethargic than the others.
“After running tests, it was confirmed that they all had parvovirus. We also received information that someone had bought a pup from the same litter that had sadly died from the virus, so it is believed that they were dumped by a low-welfare dealer due to having symptoms.
“Heartbreakingly, despite the best efforts of our animal care assistants and vets we sadly lost the one of the pups to the illness.
“We are thrilled to report that Angus and Ted made a full recovery and have now found loving new homes.”
The charity shared the news as they celebrated Scottish Animal Week 2022.
Scottish Animal Week will run from 23 to 29 September, and the Society hopes to raise vital funds over the week by asking the public to sign up to a 365 day challenge in recognition of the year-round work taken on by SSPCA staff.
