Deadline day signing Antony has described the moment he scored on his Manchester United debut against Arsenal, dedicating it to his family and the fans.
The Brazilian was drafted into the line-up by Erik ten Hag just three days after completing his £85.1m move from Ajax. He marked his Old Trafford bow with the opening goal of the contest on 35 minutes to open his account for his new club in the 3-1 win.
He’s already racked up two starts for United after beginning the 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday. He is expected to play a role in this week’s clash away at Sheriff Tiraspol as well.

Antony has now revealed how he felt when his dream debut became a reality. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said he had “goosebumps” when he fired home past Aaron Ramsdale.
“When I saw the net bulge and the fans on their feet cheering, it was very emotional,” the 22-year-old said. “I had goosebumps. That goal was for my family and the fans.”
Antony is yet to complete a full 90 minutes for United but will hope to achieve that feat if he starts in Moldova on Thursday given he has had a week’s rest. Ten Hag could name a stronger line-up than planned due to last weekend’s match with Crystal Palace being postponed amid the death of The Queen.
United players held a minute’s silence before their clash with Real Sociedad just hours after Her Majesty’s death was announced by Buckingham Palace.
