The Gogglebox families had their say on Matt Hancock's experience in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! This week the families watched as the celebs quizzed the former Health Secretary about the reason he was forced to resign.
Hancock explained that he did not break the law - only his own "guidelines" when he kissed Gina Coladangelo. But he said he did so for love.
He also revealed that he had just released a book about his time as Health Secretary. It is titled "Pandemic Diaries".
Lee was immediately cynical. He said: "So he's gone in there to promote his book!" While Joe in Glasgow asked: "Is this a parody?"
It was not long into the show when the celebs started questioning him about his actions with Gina and things got heated. After Charlene pointed out that he was with someone from outside his bubble Hancock got serious. He even shed a few tears during the conversation.
But Sophie in Blackpool was unimpressed by Hancock's tears. Speaking to her bother Pete, she said: "He's not even shed a tear there he's just stood over the fire."
Later in the show, the families were shown clips of Matt Hancock carrying out the Bushtucker Trials, including eating a number of animals' genitalia. In her living room in Durham, Abbie Lynn added: "He'll have to do more than eat sheep vagina but it's a start."
But while many of the cast were critical of Hancock, Jenny was quite sympathetic to him. Her positive reaction to the former minister did not go down well with viewers.
Taking to Twitter, Jennifer Johnson (@lhsaapso1) said: "Disgusted in Jenny. Obviously, she didn't lose anybody and she didn't have the heartache of not saying goodbye to her loved ones. Jenny, I'm so disappointed in her."
Max Banner (@maxbanner17) added: "Not having Jenny empathising with Hancock one jot..." Tracey Holsgrove (@TraceyHolsgrove) added: "Jenny has just gone way down in my estimation. Defending Matt Hancock??!!"
