Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend Nat Eddleston made an appearance on the show in 2020.
The 31-year-old plumber is said to have been hospitalised after he was allegedly involved in a hit and run while walking back from his local pub in the early hours of Saturday morning. He is reported to be fighting for his life in intensive care with a broken neck and collapsed lungs.
An insider has told the Daily Star that Ellie will be taking some time away from the show to be by her partner's side. The source said: "Ellie has been told to take all the time she needs - everyone on the show is hoping and praying Nat will be ok."

Ellie has become a fan favourite on the popular Channel 4 programme for her observations on the week's best TV alongside sister Izzi. She first mentioned Nat on the show in 2018, with the couple moving in together in March last year after buying a semi-detached house in Leeds - as Mirror Online reports.
However, Nat was drafted in as a replacement for Izzi on a Gogglebox episode filmed at the height of the pandemic. He temporarily filled in for Izzi back in 2020 as lockdown rules prevented households from mixing.
Nat's appearance was praised by fans as viewers following Gogglebox on Twitter took to the social media platform to say he should appear on the show permanently.
Mat said: "Made my day that @ellieandizzi are back on #Gogglebox together but where’s poor old Nat gone....room for two on that sofa! #givethemanaseat"
Pad added: "#Gogglebox Loving Ellie and Nat!!!"
Another fan commented: "I know its not the world's greatest issue but I missed Nat and his excellent array of brightly coloured socks on this week's Gogglebox."
West Yorkshire Police confirmed the road in Halton, Leeds, was cordoned off on Saturday morning. They said: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition and inquiries are ongoing."
Gogglebox viewers have flooded Ellie with supportive message since reports emerged of Nat's condition.
Dara said: "Much love to Ellie Warner and everyone who loves Nat"
Daniel added: "Just seen the news about Nat, so horrible and devastating. My thoughts with Ellie and his family at this time"
Hannah posted: "Get well soon Nat! sending love to Ellie and her family."
