Goa: With altered political equations, Bardez gears up for riveting contests

GOA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special mention about Bardez during his recent public meeting in Mapusa, signifying the importance that the taluka holds in any government formation.

“When coastal development gets priority, Bardez is bound to benefit,” Modi said at BJP’s ‘Jan Sankalp Sabha’ at Mapusa on Thursday. “It is unfortunate that to date, Congress has never shown any concern about Bardez. With BJP, the ambitions of Bardez will get strengthened. We are making all possible attempts to fulfil the aspirations of the people here.”
